I’ve been living in Scotland for more than 4 years now. Long enough to know the streets, to have favourite cafes, to map it to my mind

But inside, I’m still catching up. I catch myself thinking about a place that isn’t here. Or about a version of my life that no longer exists.

It’s a strange feeling. Not homesickness, rather the body has already arrived, but your mind is still finishing the journey.
